Suspekt is Jesse Kuch, label manager and DJ for Australian progressive, techno and minimal label Open Records.
Jesse is born and raised in Tropical North Queensland, and it was the thriving scene in his hometown of Cairns where Jesse first encountered electronic music.
Originally inspired by deep progressive trance and house like Antix, SunControlSpecies, Vibrasphere, Son Kite/Minilogue and Kasey Taylor, the Suspekt sound now sits somewhere in the grey area between techno, progressive house, tribal and tech-house – always with hypnotic rhythms, tech and tribal percussion and deep bass grooves.
Together with his pal Woodsman, he has compiled two successful compilations – Slow-Release and Festivus – along with a string of digital exclusive material, establishing Open as a name to watch in progressive dance music.
His DJ career has seen him play up and down the East Coast of the country at festivals, clubs and parties alongside names like Dousk, Kasey Taylor, Lutzenkirchen, Solead, Fiord, Perfect Stranger, SunControlSpecies, Monolake and many more.
